In family law, we are in the interesting and sometimes enviable position of being able to aid our clients in developing facts beneficial to their cases. For example, do we have the "perfect" parent, if ever there was one? Or do we have a parent who could do some things to improve his or her relationship with their children, things that would also be beneficial to their case? The goal is never to create a fabricated parent; it is to help the parent understand the importance of their relationship with their children and help them take positive steps to ensure that the parent/child relationship continues and flourishes even if a family separation is at hand. A similar example can be made in a financial/property case.
